Traxxas was started in 1986 with an idea for what was at that time an entirely brand-new principle for a completely put together, hobby-class R/C automobile. This brand-new automobile would have all the same advantages of a hobby-class kit such as replaceable parts, hop-ups, and a high-quality element radio system, however it would be fully put together with a vibrant body, right out of the box. Traxxas created the term "Ready-To-Run" (RTR) to describe this brand-new class. Given that a completely put together, ready-to-run automobile would attract the entry-level newbie, a toll-free consumer assistance line was set up from the first day to service an entirely brand-new category of hobby consumer. In the beginning, approval of the RTR principle was sluggish due to the fact that standard R/C kits had constantly been unassembled. Once individuals recognized that a Traxxas RTR had the same efficiency and quality as the standard R/C kits, just that they didn't need to build it, the ready-to-run automobile was a runaway hit! A kit variation would still be offered for those who still wanted to have the structure experience.
